One of the most common uses for the DTX Shoulder Shot line launcher is by arborists and tree service professionals setting lines in trees. While arborists often hand-throw lines or use a slingshot, there are times when the DTX Shoulder Shot launcher can work better –
Tall trees. The DTX Shoulder Shot launcher has a maximum vertical reach of 250 ft. Hand throwing and slingshots have an effective range of 50-80 ft (give or take).
Precise aim. You can easily adjust the distance based on the amount of pressure you add. The DTX Shoulder Shot launcher has a PSI to distance chart, so you know how far it will go before you use it. Aiming down the barrel also leads to high accuracy. This helps avoid hitting power lines and windows.
Shorter learning curve. Hand throwing and using a slingshot take a fair bit of practice (and arm strength). Some people never get the hang of it or find it hard to do. In less than a morning, users figure out the Shoulder Shot launcher.
Bushy trees. In some trees, it’s hard to get a good angle or it takes extra force to push through. This is another place where the DTX Shoulder Shot launcher can outperform.
