The DTX Shoulder Shot is used in the energy industry for high tower maintenance, rescue operations, and sending lines across water and tough terrain.
Coded by Southern California Edison, this patented air pressure powered device can shoot up to 250 ft vertically over electrical towers to help linemen have quick and safe fall protection. You choose how high it goes, simply by adjusting the air pressure. With its 450 ft horizontal range, you can cross rivers, chasms, and tough terrain.
To power the launcher, fill the chamber with air or CO2 using a standard pump, compressor, or air tank. There is no black powder. You don’t need firearms training to use it.
Lining up shots is easy. Load the throw bag with line attached, fill with air, sight the target with the barrel, and release. With low PSI, there is little recoil. And it’s extremely quiet. Wind, light rain, cloudy or clear, cold or hot, you can still get the same accurate result.
This device can also be used to quickly shoot line up to injured linemen in bucket systems instead of waiting for helicopter rescue and for other rescue situations due to an incapacitated bucket or fall.

The Shoulder Shot is built with non-corrosive materials that hold up: brass, PVC, and stainless steel. It’s made durable.
This design will minimize wear and tear on your fingers, hands, and arms. It’s built with safety in mind too. Max PSI is 110. The pressure release prevents overfilling. The barrel valve gets the bag flying clean. The safety stops misfires – no accidentally opening the valve.
The device weighs just 11 Lbs and can be stored in a 26 inch bag or toolbox.
